This webinar supports parents whose children are undergoing medical treatment and navigating primary school during this time. It focuses on the educational supports and flexible options available to primary primary including home tuition, SNA support, reduced timetables, and maintaining social connection. 

Parents will be reassured that it is okay if academic learning is not the priority during treatment, and that wellbeing, belonging, and socialisation are just as important. 

The webinar will be facilitated by Angela Cummins, a primary school teacher with over 20 years’ experience, Master’s in Education, Master’s in Autism, Doctorate of Education student in DCU, and a mother with personal experience of childhood cancer. Angela will share practical advice on communicating with schools and supporting children in a compassionate, realistic way during treatment.
