Families in Grief: Bereavement supports: What supports are available for family members
This talk is designed for parents, caregivers and young adults bereaved by childhood cancer. We will explore the different types of bereavement supports available around Ireland from family events, group and individual supports and services. This talk recognises that not all family members need formal support and may prefer sibling social days or family therapeutic breaks.
This webinar will be co-facilitated by Sonia Rennicks, Children’s Bereavement Manager at the Irish Hospice Foundation and Dr Mairead Brennan, Childhood Cancer Ireland Director of Psychosocial services.
Sonia also coordinates the Irish Childhood Bereavement Network. She works in partnership with agencies such as the National Office for Suicide Prevention, TUSLA, Children and Young People Services Committees, and Hospice Friendly Hospitals on initiatives aimed at supporting professionals, families and communities who support bereaved children.
Sign up for one or more webinars in this series.
