Supporting sibling bereavement, loss and grief: A guide for parents 

We are delighted to be joined by Santhi Corcoran from the Children’s Grief Centre. Santhi is a Lecturer and researcher in Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Social Sciences in Mary Immaculate College and University of Limerick. .

Supporting the sibling who is grieving for the loss of a brother or sister is crucial as their loss can have an impact on their family identity, confidence and sense of place within their family. A bereaved child/young person requires support to express their feelings, to gain acknowledgement of their loss and guidance to manage this significant loss. This talk will explore sibling loss and ways to support a child or young person experiencing this grief.
