Bereavement Grant

Our bereavement grant offers financial support to families during this incredibly difficult time. This once-off payment provides immediate assistance following the devastating loss of a child to cancer, helping families to feel supported and allowing them to focus on their emotional wellbeing without the added burden of financial stress.

  • This is a one-off grant of €1,000
  • It is not means tested
  • You may also have received grants from other charities

 

Eligibility Criteria:

    • The child or young person died under the age of 24
    • From a diagnosis of childhood cancer
    • The child or young person died after 30th June 2024
    • Lived permanently in Ireland

Relapse or Recurrence Grant

We also provide a Relapse Grant to support parents when a child, adolescent or young adult experiences a relapse of childhood cancer. 
 
The Relapse Grant is a one-off payment and is not means tested. Families may be eligible to apply again if their child experiences a subsequent relapse or disease progression following a minimum period of six months clinical stability.
 
Eligibility Criteria
  • Patient was under the age of 24 at the time of relapse or progression
  • Patient must have a clinically confirmed relapse or progression of an initial childhood cancer diagnosis
  • Patient is currently receiving treatment following relapse at the time of application.
  • Patient lives permanently in Ireland
