September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
This September, as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re inviting crèches, preschools and childcare settings across Ireland to take part in More Precious Than Gold.
More Precious Than Gold is a fun and meaningful campaign that helps young children learn about kindness, friendship and helping others, while supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer.
Getting involved in More Precious Than Gold is easy!
1. Choose your week
Pick any week during September that suits your setting.
2. Register
Complete our registration form and we’ll send you everything you need.
3. Receive your free activity pack
We’ll post you a More Precious Than Gold Activity Pack packed with ideas, resources and materials to help make your week fun and engaging.
4. Set up your online fundraising page
Once you’ve registered, we’ll help you set up a free online fundraising page so parents, grandparents, family and friends can support your efforts. Every euro raised helps Childhood Cancer Ireland provide vital support to children with cancer and their families.

How to #GoGold
There are lots of ways to #GoGold, including:
- Wear gold or yellow
- Create gold-themed artwork
- Read stories about kindness and friendship
- Hold a teddy bears’ picnic
- Host a coffee morning or bake sale
