Tell us more

If you’ve got something important to say and you want people to listen to you, your personal true stories are your superpower. When you share the right story, you don’t just make people listen, you help them learn and show them how to change the world for the better. But finding the right story to share is hard.

The Dublin Story Slam has been helping young people find and share powerful, real and impactful stories for the last seven years.

In this camp, you will have a chance to explore how personal storytelling works, what makes a great story and how to find the right one for you.

So, if you’ve got something important to say but struggled with finding the best way to say it, this camp is for you.

You’ll also get to meet other young people that you can relate to, as well as doing some fun activities like yoga, icebreaking exercises and pair work to encourage everyone to get to know each other.

On the last day, we will have a showcase event where you will have an opportunity to share your story in front of your family and new-found friends!

About The Dublin Story Slam

The Dublin Story Slam has been helping individuals find, develop and deliver stories worth sharing for the last 8 years. Whether it’s hosting our open mic storytelling nights at the Sugar Club, Pavilion Theatre and The Abbey Theatre or our storytelling programmes for Dublin City Council, Deloitte, Lidl, OCO & Sport Ireland, we help people share stories that connect.

For the last 7 years we’ve also been the Creative Director for Child Talks from the Ombudsman for Children’s Office. This national event hosted at the Helix invites young people to share stories about how the big issues have shaped their lives personally and what we can do to address them.

We’ve also worked with charities like Belong To, STAND and Spunout as well as last year with Childhood Cancer Ireland. We passionately believe in the power of storytelling to transform not just speakers but their audiences too.
